DURANGO, Colo. – The City of Durango will sponsor a skateboard and bike contest, July 19-20, at the Durango Skate Park. Both participants and spectators are invited.
Prizes for the contest include gear and a cash award for the pro division. Registration is schedule from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Sat., July 19 followed by practice and qualifying from 12 to 6 p.m. Cost is $25 for all divisions (Youth, Intermediate and Advanced).
Contests are set to begin on time and include:
Best Trick Contest: Sat., July 19 - 6:15 p.m.
Kids BMX & Skate: Sun., July 20 - 1:00 p.m.
Amateur BMX and Skate: Sun., July 20 - 2:20 p.m.
Pro BMX and Skate: - Sun., July 20 - 3:40 p.m.
Skateboarding and BMX movies will be screened at the Abbey Theater on Sat., July 19, immediately following the close of the Best Trick Contest.
