DURANGO, Colo. - The City of Durango will begin replacing old water mains that are undersized and deteriorating in the 2500 block of West 2nd and West 3rd Avenues and on 26th Street between West 2nd and West 3rd Avenues.
The roadway will be closed to through traffic in the work zone due to heavy equipment operations. Residents in the area can expect temporary interruptions in their water service during working hours.Driveways and sidewalks may be blocked temporarily during the construction; however, residents will be notified in advance if their driveway will not be accessible.
Once the water line replacement is complete, restoration of the roadway will begin. Motorists and pedestrians are asked to follow all construction traffic control signs in this area during construction.
For further information, contact Matt Holden, public works engineer, 375.4813.
