DURANGO, Colo. – As part of La Plata County’s Strategic Plan implementation process, the County has invited renowned consultant and lecturer, Marv Weidner, president and CEO of Weidner Inc., to conduct a presentation on emerging issues in organizational performance management and measurement, Aug. 18 3-5 p.m., La Plata County Courthouse Anasazi Room, 1060 E 2nd Avenue, Durango.
The presentation is to focus on the continued movement toward identifying and measuring “results” rather than counting “outputs” or units of service — including examples of the difference between the two.
The topic discussed is designed to have broad application beyond the public sector to non-profit and other community based organizations. Additionally, for those organizations that work closely with La Plata County, Weidner’s presentation will offer considerable insight into the direction that County government is going with respect to the measurement of internal departmental performance and the performance of county-funded external agencies.
Space is limited. To reserve a seat or for further information, contact Sarah Jacobson, 970.382.6210 or jacobsonsm@co.laplata.co.us by Aug. 15.
