Hearing regarding development of oil and natural gas resources moved to 6 p.m., Sept. 29

DURANGO, Colo. – The La Plata County Board of County Commissioners will hold a special public hearing Mon., Sept. 29, 2008 at 6 p.m. to consider and possibly vote on the changes to Chapter 90 of La Plata County’s Land Use Code, which outlines the County’s regulations regarding the development of oil and natural gas resources in La Plata County.

This meeting was previously noticed for 7 p.m., but has been moved to 6 p.m. to allow more time for public comment. This special public hearing will be held in the Board’s Hearing Room (Anasazi Room) located on the first floor at the La Plata County Courthouse, 1060 E 2nd Avenue, Durango.

The proposed amendments to Chapter 90 are available on La Plata County’s web site at http://co.laplata.co.us. A red-lined version of all the changes to date has also been added to the website.

All comment already provided to the Planning Commission has been provided to the Board of County Commissioners and is a part of the official record. New public comment on the proposed Chapter 90 of the La Plata County Land Use Code will be accepted until the close of business on Sept. 22, 2008. Send comments to murphyka@co.laplata.co.us.
