The City of Durango has once again partnered with the San Juan Basin Recycling Association to offer Earth Machine home composting bins to residents at the discounted price of $40.
The bins are durable and easily assembled. Features include:
o Recycled, UV resistant polyethylene
o Holds 10 cubic feet, 33” high, 33” deep and 34” wide
o Twist top lid allows control of ventilation
o Smooth, round shape with no corners where materials can dry out
o 32-page instructional book included
o Ten-year manufacturer’s warranty
o Retails for over $80
Display composting bins can be seen in the Extension Building at the La Plata County Fairgrounds, the La Plata County Courthouse, the Durango Public Library and River City Hall. Bins can be purchased at River City Hall and picked up at the Durango Recycling Center at 710 Tech Center Drive. The bins are also available through San Juan Resource Conservation & Development at 31 Suttle Street.
