DURANGO, Colo. - The community is invited to attend an open house to provide input on the proposals for two public art projects at the new Durango Public Library, Mon., Aug. 11, 5 to 7 p.m. at the Durango Community Recreation Center. The six finalists selected in July will display their proposals, and the community is encouraged to review and provide comment.
The final selections for the Storyteller’s Chair and the Stairwell Sculpture will be announced on Tues., Aug. 19. Artists will then complete their pieces and install them prior to the library’s Grand Opening Dec. 1.
