DURANGO, Colo. - The City of Durango has contracted with JAGs Enterprises to replace approximately 980 linear feet of the Animas River Trail behind the Albertsons at 311 W. College Drive. Work will begin Mon., Sept. 22, 2008.
Construction is designed to provide a safer and more functional route through improvement of sight lines and replacement of existing deteriorating pavement. This section of the Animas River Trail will be closed through the fall, and trail users are requested to follow the posted detour along Roosa Avenue between 9th St. and the pedestrian bridge at Highway 160.
