Television:

Television programming is received via cable from Denver or Albuquerque, or via satellite from Denver, New York and/or Los Angeles, depending on residential locations. KREZ TV, based in Albuquerque, operates a Durango office to provide local news coverage. Durango Community Access Television offers local programming. IDTV airs area activity and event programs. Government Channel - City Span 10 broadcasts local public meetings of interest to the community as well as entertaining programs of area happenings.


Radio:

Durango and La Plata County have seven locally run stations and receive signals from many additional station in nearby Farmington, N.M., and Cortez, CO. American General Media, Clear Channel Communications and Four Corners Broadcasting are major commercial broadcasting companies, while the two public radio stations originate from the Southern Ute Tribe in Ignacio (KSUT) and Fort Lewis College in Durango (KDUR).

Publications:

The Durango Herald is published daily and distributed throughout La Plata County. Other pecialty publications include the Four Corners Business Journal, published the first and third Mondays of each month; The Durango Telegraph, distributed every Thursday; and Inside/Outside magazine, produced bimonthly. Durango Magazine is published twice a year and distributed via newsstands, subscriptions and in-room at participating area lodgings.
