Durango Bakeries

Here’s nothing like the smell of fresh bread! Durango has a plethora of bakeries producing a wide variety of homemade fresh baked goods. While there are too many to mention them all, here are a few of our top picks.

Bread, aptly named for the simple yet delicious loaves of bread they make in their two locations, is a Durango staple. Serving Durango for over 20 years, they have created a diverse menu of breads, sandwiches, pastries, coffee and more. Their newest downtown location has additional brunch items using local ingredients for a tasty bite! Check out their rotating bread menu and other offerings on their website; https://www.breaddurango.com/

Serious Delights is seriously good and located in the Nature’s Oasis building. They also have a special daily rotating bread menu and expand into pizza dough and hamburger/hotdog buns. Pastries and desserts include daily gluten free options for croissants, granola, bars, muffins, tarts, pies, cookies, and danishes, just to name a few. Durango Doughworks is a popular donut shop and breakfast/lunch eatery. Specializing in cake, long john, bismarks, old fashioneds, twists, and raised donuts (and donut holes!), their menu offers a variety of hearty breakfast staples as well. A full dine-in menu with eggs, hash browns, burritos, bagels, pancakes, and more are ideal for a nice morning meal. Get the full menu on their website; https://www.durangodoughworks.com/home

Jean Pierre Bakery, Odd Bird Baking Co., Durango Bagel, The Smiley Café, and La Bonne Patisserie as well as many more produce amazing artisanal baked goods. Please let us know if you have any questions about Durango’s local bakeries.
