DURANGO BLUES TRAIN: AUGUST 25TH, 26TH, & 27TH

EVENT DESCRIPTION

It’s never too early to start planning for the summer of a lifetime! Save the dates and mark your calendars for the perfect way to start or end your summer in Colorado! Join us for an exciting, moving musical experience of live blues on board the Historic Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad’s coal-fired, steam-powered train traveling through the spectacular and breathtaking canyons of the San Juan National Forest. August dates include August 25, 26 and 27.

The Blues Train features six live blues performances inside the train coaches with a festive musical environment. Each artist performs in their own vintage coach, while passengers are free to dance their way from coach to coach. Four coaches have seats while two are open with no seats for dancing. Enjoy an evening on the rails with some of Colorado’s best craft beer, cider and wine along with spectacular scenery. To cap it all off, passengers will experience breathtaking sunset views along the “Highline,” a world famous section of the railroad, as the train crawls along craggy cliffs 400 feet high above the Wild Animas River, known to be the most beautiful section of the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad.

Mark your calendars! Tickets are $139 per person per night plus a historic preservation fee of 7%. Tickets for August 25, 26 and 27 are available online. Please note, the Durango Blues Train is limited to ages 21+.
