A new year, cold weather, and activities galore; January in Durango doesn’t slack in family fun! From snowshoeing, a motorcycle breakfast, and Durango’s own Snowdown festival, you don’t want to miss these events.

January 8th Durango Harley Davidson is hosting the Biker Breakfast. Everyone is invited, on a motorcycle or not, for a free (first come, first serve) breakfast provided by the Black Sheep Christian Motorcycle Ministry. January 16th is the full moon and a great time to soak it in while snowshoeing with the San Juan Mountain Association. Hosted at the Nordic Center, across from Purgatory Resort, you can enjoy the moonbeams on the mountains. All you need is a day pass to the Nordic Center and snowshoes. Snowdown returns to the streets of Durango January 26th-30th. Established in 1979, the “Original Cabin Fever Reliever” reaches its 43rd year! The theme is Magical Mystical – We Put A Spell On You. Businesses host a multitude of events and the unforgettable parade will have the sidelines flocked with locals and tourists alike. Don’t miss out on this iconic Durango event.
