We’ve highlighted a few local fall events over the last few weeks; however, if you’re looking for a fun harvest festival before the season ends, the 12th Annual Three Springs Harvest Festival occurs this Saturday, October 27. From 11-2, there will be trick or treating, a pumpkin patch, games, and live music. Check out this free event and see why this local community is such a great place to live!
That afternoon (October 27), the Be Frank Foundation hosts the 6th Annual Frank N’ Stein Family Block Party in Bayfield. There will be food, music, a costume contest, bounce house, prizes, silent auction, and more! The fun lasts all afternoon—from 12 pm to 6 pm, and will be on Mill Street, in front of Bottom Shelf Brewery. The Be Frank Foundation “(For the Recreational and Artistic Needs of Kids!) Foundation provides opportunities through athletics, the fine arts, and environmental and outdoor education outreach. To “be frank” is to be matter of fact or purposeful. We strive to encourage our youth to live meaningful and purposeful lives by getting them involved in activities that stimulate their minds and get them in touch with their communities” (http://www.befrankfoundation.org). This is a fantastic organization; if you have a chance to support them it would be appreciated!
We’re closing in on Halloween, with only one week to go! Now’s the time to make your Trick or Treat plans. Did you know Downtown Durango offers a safe and fun Trick or Treat option on Halloween—up to 100 businesses offer treats! From 4-6, costumed kids 10 and under can enjoy trick or treating in our beautiful downtown. Orange pumpkin signs signify who participates in this event. Once again, The Wells Group will be handing out treats, so please stop by and show off your costumes! We love being an active participant in Durango and our unique community events. It’s also so neat to live and work in a place with a downtown like ours—perfect for work and fun!
