A Farmington native, Shepherd has amassed an impressive career during her 16 years, and is among the youngest to have taken top honors on the popular mentorship television show. Shepherd’s Voice Coach was “American Idol” winner Kelly Clarkson and she has gone on to perform and attend events with Clarkson since her win. She currently is opening for some of Country’s top names around the country.
“I always wanted to be on a singing TV show since I was little. I fell in love with ‘The Voice’ and took the chance and auditioned,” she writes on her website. “I want to start writing my own songs, and make albums. I want to tour across the country spreading my love and passion for music. I want to live my dream and hopefully show others that anything is possible.”
