Lake Nighthorse, only 3.5 miles from downtown Durango, was stocked with 150,000 fingerling Kokanee Salmon last week. It is now open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through the month of April. Beginning May 1st, the lake will be open 7 days a week.
Lake Nighthorse is a fee area. Season and 5-punch passes are now available for purchase at the Durango Community Recreation Center, located at 2700 Main Avenue. Season, 5-punch and day use passes will be available at the Lake Nighthorse entrance station as well.
