FEBRUARY 22nd is National Margarita day (and night)!
“Margaritas are popular in several Durango restaurants. Olde Tymer’s– known for “cheating tourist and drunks”– offers great ones at reasonable prices… both frozen and on the rocks.
I have also enjoyed them at Tequila’s as well as Fiesta Mexicana– all are on Main Street, Durango, Colorado, USA 81301 and all of them serve good food. Consider having one right now! Just remember to drink and drive responsibly and these high mountain elevations will get you inebriated faster… one is probably enough!” Sam Rose, Margarita enthusiast
From Wikipedia—
“A margarita is a cocktail consisting of triple sec, tequila and lime or lemon juice, often served with salt or sugar on the rim of the glass. The drink is served shaken with ice (on the rocks), blended with ice (frozen margarita), or without ice (straight up). Although it has become acceptable to serve a margarita in a wide variety of glass types, ranging from cocktail and wine glasses to pint glasses and even large schooners, the drink is traditionally served in the eponymous margarita glass, a stepped-diameter variant of a cocktail glass or champagne coupe.”
? Question: How do you lick the salt off your margarita glass? Do you go around the glass? Or stick to sipping from one spot on the glass?
