Holiday Events This Weekend!

Durango is one of the most enchanting places during the holidays, and this weekend several events populate the calendar for a unique small-town experience.

Noel Night is one of our favorite local traditions. Friday evening several local businesses will be offering special offers, entertainment, food, and fun. This event started in 2002 after the Missionary Ridge Fire as a way to support the local economy. It still continues as one of our favorite events of the season. We love to support our local businesses and encourage others to shop locally for unique gifts. The Wells Group is a sponsor for this event, and we will be offering light snacks and beverages. We’d love you to stop by and see us while you’re out and about.

The 16th Annual Festival of Trees kicks off Friday, December 6th and will occur through Sunday, December 8th from noon to 5 pm. Wander through several trees and wreaths, as well as enjoy food, entertainment, and prizes. This event benefits Community Connections, an organization supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The Holiday Arts and Crafts Fair will be held at the La Plata County Fairgrounds this weekend from December 6th-8th. Local craftspeople will sell a variety of goods—soaps, lotions, Christmas décor, baby items, and so much more. This is another fantastic way to do some Christmas shopping and support local businesspeople.

We hope you have an opportunity to explore some of these local events and support our local businesses, craftspeople, and organizations that support others. Durango is a wonderful place to live and work, and we love to see our economy thrive.
