Ospreys return to Lake Capote

“Suuwhsiagyetu (Strong Wings, male) and Suupu’ighyetu (Powerful Eyes, female) are back! The Southern Ute Wildlife Division is pleased to announce the return of a pair of ospreys to our nest at Lake Capote. The birds have been busy rebuilding the nest, and we had the first egg laid on Monday April 8th.
