Colorado Association of Realtors Stats – July 2019 – La Plata County

This week, we have the latest real estate numbers for La Plata County for the month of July. The attached charts show a detailed breakdown of several market segments in La Plata County, showing La Plata County as a whole, Durango In-Town, Durango Rural, Bayfield In-Town, Bayfield Rural, Ignacio In-Town, Ignacio Rural, and Durango Mountain Area.

These charts indicate the statistics and key metrics for single family homes and townhouses/condos, including new listings, sold listings, median sales price, and more. They compare July 2019 to July 2018. We also see the rolling 12 month median sales price for single family homes and townhouses/condos in these segments. We always appreciate these charts to be able to spot trends within our local market, and compare results to previous years.

La Plata County single family homes had more new listings and a higher median sales price this July compared to July of 2018, but a slightly lower total of sold listings (a difference of three). Year to date, we see fewer new listings and fewer sold listings, but a higher median sales price than through this time last year.

The La Plata County townhouse/condo market continues to thrive, as we’ve discussed recently. In the month of July, there were more new listings, sold listings, and a higher median sales price compared to July 2018. Year to date, there have been more new listings, sold listings, and a higher median sales price than through last year at this time.

Bayfield In Town single family homes had a strong July. This year, there were more new listings, more sold listings, and a higher median sales price. Year to date, we see the same trend: more new listings, more sold listings, and a higher median sales price compared to through this time last year.

Durango Mountain Area townhouses/condos had a strong July this year in terms of total transactions compared to last. There were more new listings this year and more sold listings, although the median sales price is lower. Year to date, we see more new listings, more sold listings, and a higher median sales price this year than through this time last year.
