Shane’s real estate career began 20 years ago working for one of the nation’s largest private landowners. In the early 2000’s, he moved to Durango to work in sales for a local ranch and land developer. Following that, Shane was a Christie’s International Real Estate agent and member of Who’s Who in Luxury Real Estate™, closing some of the highest valued properties in Southwest Colorado. In 2010, he opened Elevation Real Estate Company, and for close to a decade, operated his own real estate company. At the beginning of 2019, Shane joined The Wells Group to work with the best in the business.

Shane holds several certifications including ABR, ALC, CRS, E-Pro, RSPS, PSA and RENE. He is one of only several dozen qualifying members in the State of Colorado (out of 26,000 REALTORS®) to be an Accredited Land Consultant (ALC). His Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) is the top real estate designation for residential sales.

Shane is heavily involved in advocating for private property owner’s rights through appointed positions in Local, State and National REALTOR® Associations. In 2017, Shane received the Durango Area Association of REALTORS® “Realtor of the Year” Award for his sales success and commitment to clients and the industry. Shane is the 2019 President for the Durango Area Association of REALTORS® and serves on the Board of Directors for United Way of Southwest Colorado.

Shane and his family moved to Durango to enjoy all that Southwest Colorado has to offer. They love to be in the outdoors hiking, backpacking, skiing and taking care of their small farm.
