Manna Soup Kitchen Fundraiser “The Durango Voice”
Durango, CO – Manna Soup Kitchen announces that tickets are now on sale for their fundraiser “TheDurango Voice”, similar to the popular TV show The Voice. Finalists will compete on Saturday, April 2 at the Strater Theatre.
Twelve local singers were chosen to advance to The Finals Competition. They will perform again after receiving a month of professional voice coaching from local coaches, including Jill Holly, Kevin Bell, GaryPenington and Linda Brice.
Finalists are: Alyssa Gomez, Anna Fenberg, Bob Thom, Bridgett Averill, Cara Keyser, Curtis Storm, Jade Robbins, Josh Hoffman, Kiersten Langford, Lisa Govreau, Sophie Hughes, Tilly Leeder,
Winners will receive prizes and confirmed singing engagements at establishments in Durango. Manna does more than just feed the hungry in our community. The agency continues to serve over 65,000 meals a year and sends away almost 10,000 sack lunches. They also provide thrift store and hair cut vouchers, help with prescriptions, eye, ear and dental referrals and bus passes.
