As we look forward to more snowfall in the near future we also look for some alternative activities and are still enjoyable throughout the winter. We are lucky to live in a stunning area of the country with access to majestic mountains, gorgeous rivers and relaxing hot springs. Join us for a journey through 4 different hot springs all located within hours of Durango.

First and foremost the Durango Hot Springs are obviously on the top of our list. Enjoy access to the 15 natural hot spring mineral pools, dry sauna, resort swimming pool and cold plunge. Frank Trimble started the hot springs in 1882, through the years the springs have gone through a few changes, but the recent changes have been the biggest and what a beautiful job they have done. Head 60 miles East from Durango to Pagosa Springs and visit 24 of the most beautiful geothermal pools. Located on the bank of the San Juan River, this is truly a one of a kind experience.

Head 70 miles North from Durango to Ouray where you will find multiple hot springs to explore. The Ouray Hot Springs is the biggest with a lap pool, two slides an activity pool and three soaking pools. While in Ouray check out the Wiesbaden, which is more of a European experience. Head down into the vapor cave to clear out your pores and soak your lungs in the thick air, it is a very unique experience and worth the trip.

These are just a few of the Colorado gems that you can experience through the state that are not only nearby, but can help create beautiful memories of relaxation.
