23rd Annual Cowboy Poetry Gathering

Art, music, theatre, and, of course, poetry – cowboy style – converge once again in Durango September 29 through October 2.

Lest you assume the Cowboy Poetry Gathering is some hokey faux-western event designed to capture the citified tourist, let me assure you that this is the real deal. Real cowboys from real farm and ranch families with real experiences and real talent.

Every evening and all day Saturday, poets and musicians will perform spirited music and poetry that will move you to tears and elicit hearty guffaws. In addition to an amazing line-up of arists, singers, and poets, there will be mystery theatre, special train rides, a parade, and other activities for all ages.
