Alternative Horizons Announces Second Annual Fashion Show
‘THE PURSE AND SUIT OF HAPPINESS’
Alternative Horizons, a non-profit organization supporting victims and survivors of Domestic Violence, will be hosting the 2ndnd. The event will be held at the Fort Lewis Community Concert Hall. Doors open at 7pm, with light appetizers and a cash bar. The show begins at 7:30 pm. Annual Fashion show entitled ‘THE PURSE AND SUIT OF HAPPINESS’ on Saturday, October 2
This most extraordinary ‘fashion show’ combines exotic acts from around the globe with choreography and humor. You will experience South African attire with drumming, a tribute to Audrey Hepburn, sophisticated attire reminiscent of London, Japan, Spain and Italy – and so much more. This is a show meant to entertain as well as represent some beautiful fashions obtainable at some of our wonderful local clothing shops such as ‘There’s No Place Like Home”, “Smelters Coalroom”, “Giddy up 409”, “Appaloosa”, “Durango Traditions” and “Kelly’s Cowboy Company”. We even have a representative from the “Camptown Ladies” gracing our stage. In addition, Alternative Horizons has enlisted the help of local designers to create and embellish fashions and stage props.
ALL proceeds stay within our community to benefit Alternative Horizons.
Tickets are available at Fort Lewis College Ticket office on 7th Ave or online through the Fort Lewis College Community Concert Hall website. Prices are $35 for Priority seating, $30 general seating and $15 for students.
