Calling All Youth Artists!

Durango, CO: The City of Durango’s Public Art Commission invites all youth artists (9th-12th grader in the school year of 2011-2012, as well as 2011 high school graduates) to submit an application to the City’s Art on Loan program for a special installation in the Botanical Garden at the Durango Public Library. The Art Commission is seeking existing or proposed works of art to be displayed for a two-year period in the garden along the Animas River Trail behind the Library. The First-Place artist (or group of artists) will receive an $800 honorarium as well as recognition and an opportunity for sale of the work while on display. The submission voted Second Place will receive a $200 honorarium.
