DAC Invites Artists to Submit Paintings for African Market Exhibit

The Durango Art Center invites artists to participate in a small canvas show that will be held during the African Market at the DAC, November 3-14. All media appropriate to and mounted on a six-by-six inch deep-edged canvas will be accepted.  The art will be exhibited and silently auctioned off during the entire African Marketexhibit. Proceeds from the auction will be divided among an African aid not-for-profit, the DAC and the artists. The work should be “African-inspired.” Interested artists are asked to call the Durango Art Center at 259-2606 to reserve a canvas, which will be available for pick-up on October 1 and due for return on October 31.  There will be a $10 entry fee, which will include the canvas. This exhibit will be limited to the first 30 people who call.
