Durango Autumn Arts Festival

This weekend, September 21-22 is the 25th Anniversary of the Durango Autumn Arts Festival. It’ll be held downtown Durango on East Second Avenue, one block up from Main Avenue from 10am to 5 pm. This annual event is full of artists and craftspeople, and is a great way to support the Durango Arts Center. On average, the last few years this festival has brought around 6,500 visitors to Durango! There are usually around 90 artists/craftspeople and live music and performers. In addition to the artists, there’s a Creation Station for youth and adults, and food and beverages are available. Admission is free to the Durango Autumn Arts Festival!

The Durango Arts Center is a local cornerstone, and a beacon of culture for the Four Corners. “DAC is a multi-faceted hub for community arts that hosts and promotes contemporary visual and performing arts, arts education, dynamics exhibits, an active Docent program and the annual Durango Autumn Arts Festival” (https://durangoarts.org/our-mission/). DAC has both youth and adult theater and a variety of exhibits. DAC has been in Durango since the 1960s, and continues to provide our community resources.

Hopefully you’ll have a chance to visit the festival this weekend and enjoy the art and culture. We love where we live, and celebrating various aspects of our community! Here’s a look at the DAC website for more info: https://durangoarts.org/
