Father’s Day in Durango

This weekend Durango celebrates Father’s Day, and there are several events for the men in your life. With summer temperatures heating up, there’s a ton to enjoy around town.

Durango Friends of the Arts will be selling Father’s Day pies at the Durango Farmers Market. It’s a fundraiser and unique gift! A stroll around the farmers market on Saturday is a great start to the weekend. With fresh produce and artisans and service vendors, along with live music, it’s a fun way to support our local economy.

The Annual Men Who Grill event will be held at Buckley Park on Saturday, June 15 from 11-2:20. The proceeds from this event will go to the Women’s Resource Center. The event includes all-you-can-eat food and live music.

This time of year there are several Brew Trains with the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. Colorado craft beers will offer samples and brewing education on board. At Cascade Canyon, there will be lunch and live music, along with more beer. This is an adult only trip, which could make it a fun getaway for the dad in your life!

These are just some of the unique events at this time of year. As we enter summer, there are also many outdoor events: rafting, hiking, Jeeping, bike riding, and a plethora of restaurants and breweries. There are many ways to celebrate Father’s Day in Durango—we hope you get to enjoy some of the amazing opportunities Durango offers.
