FLC Percussion Ensemble to Perform at Library

Durango, CO:  On Tuesday, November 1st, the Durango Public Library will host a performance by the Fort Lewis College Percussion Ensemble from 12:00-1:00 p.m.  Exciting rhythms from Africa and Brazil will be performed on traditional instruments, as the audience is treated to the celebratory music of a West African ceremony and a Samba street parade.  Dancing is encouraged!  The Fort Lewis College Percussion Ensemble offers chamber music experiences and is open to all students through an audition process.  They regularly perform traditional ensemble literature, music of different cultures, and arrangements of jazz and pop tunes.
