Hello Dollface replaces Cindy Woolf as opener at the Community Concert Hall’s “Fridays at the Fort” set for June 4

DURANGO, Colo. – The Community Concert Hall at Fort Lewis College today announced that Hello Dollface has stepped in as special guest, opening the show at “Fridays at the Fort” on June 4 for headliner The Porchlights. Due to a band member’s unexpected surgery, Americana singer/songwriter Cindy Woolf has bowed out of the show, with hopes to return later in the summer.

“Fridays at the Fort” is the popular summer series of free evenings of music at the Concert Hall, designed as one way for the Community Concert Hall to further the efforts of local or regional musicians. Alpine Bank of Durango is sponsoring the series.

Durango-based Hello Dollface is garnering a reputation regionally for its unique indie/blues/soul vibe. Showcased on the 2009 “Rhythms of Durango” CD of local artists, Hello Dollface features awarding-winning vocalist Ashley Edwards, revered for her smoky, sultry blues style. The Hello Dollface sound is completed with Travis Dalenberg (guitar), Jesse Ogle (bass) and David Rodriguez (percussion). The group will debut songs from its recently completed first CD, “No Empty Pages” at “Fridays at the Fort,” with the official CD release party scheduled for June 5.

Doors to the Concert Hall for “Fridays at the Fort” open at 4:30 p.m., and music continues until 7 p.m. Food and beverages are available for sale, and, in a rare break from tradition, patrons may take refreshments into the hall.

Tickets are not required for Fridays at the Fort, and the doors to the hall will remain open throughout the evening, with no reserved seating. For further information, log on to www.durangoconcerts.com, call 970.247.7657, or visit the Ticket Office in Downtown Durango at 7th and Main Ave.

Fridays at the Fort will continue July 9 and August 6 – artists to be announced.

The Community Concert Hall is located in the growing arts complex of Fort Lewis College.  It operates through a partnership with the college, a state-supported, independent institution of higher education, as well as the city of Durango, and with financial and in-kind contributions from generous members of the community.
