5:30pm dinner / 7:30pm show
prices vary from $45 to $175
As hopefully you may know, your Community Concert Hall is celebrating its 20th Anniversary, and we wanted to do something special to honor the occasion!
We’ve arranged for a very special Jazz on the Hill evening of libations, food, entertainment and camaraderie, and the proceeds will benefit the Serzen Endowment Fund designed to help keep the Concert Hall going for another 20 years.
The evening has three components, and you can mix and match – attend one or all. There’s the full dinner package (featuring a sumptuous gourmet meal from Kennebec Café). Then dinner is followed by a concert in the hall showcasing Storm Large accompanied by her band as well as our own San Juan Symphony. The “Afterglow” following the show will include live music, late evening treats from Kennebec and more.
If you’re not familiar with Storm Large, she originally garnered national prominence as a finalist on the CBS show “Rock Star: Supernova,” where she built her initial, loyal fan base. A multi-talented performer, she made her orchestral debut in 2010 with the Oregon Symphony and appeared again with the Oregon Symphony with her own band later the same season. In 2011, Storm joined the popular group Pink Martini, performing with the National Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC. Storm’s accomplishments have continued from there.
As you know, I rarely make a direct pitch for any show, but I believe this is going to be such a special evening, I wanted to call your attention to it. Please call or go online today, or stop by the Ticket Office inside the Durango Welcome Center and visit with Deahna or Linda to figure out which option works for you. Dinner packages are selling and we need to have our final count by this Friday, October 13. Thank you for your continued support of the Community Concert Hall. It’s because of patrons like you that we can continue to bring great live performances to Durango.
