Library to Host Second Annual Literary Festival September 9-10

Durango, CO:  The Durango Public Library’s second annual Literary Festival begins on Friday, September 9 with a 5:00 p.m. reception followed by a 7:00 p.m. presentation and book signing by featured author Emily Giffin – the New York Times bestselling author of Something Borrowed, Something Blue, and Heart of the Matter.  The Literary Festival continues on Saturday, September 10 with an 11:00 performance by storyteller Joe Hayes, a Local Authors Fair from 12:00-2:00 p.m., and a panel discussion on “The Future of the Book” at 3:00 p.m.  The 2011 Durango Public Library Literary Festival is sponsored by the Friends of the Durango Public Library, Durango Foundation for Educational Excellence, City of Durango, and the Durango Public Library and is affiliated with the Durango Showcase of the Arts.  All book sales for the event are sponsored by Maria’s Bookshop.  For more information please call 375-3387 or visit www.durangopubliclibrary.org.
