Durango, CO – On the Revelation Tour, Los Lonely Boys returns to the Community Concert Hall at Fort Lewis College, Wednesday, Mar. 30, 2016. The Levi Platero Band will open the show at 7:30 p.m.

Grammy Award-winning Los Lonely Boys’ unique sound is said to be a magical blending of Stevie Ray Vaughan, Santana and Ritchie Valens. An Austin-based group of brothers – Henry, Jojo and Ringo Garza – Los Lonely Boys is noted for music that combines elements of blues, soul, country and Tejano, which the brothers have dubbed as Texican rock ‘n’ roll.

According to the Los Angeles Times, “The Garzas also have absorbed the explosiveness of hip-hop beats, lending a contemporary urban vitality to their heroic vision of blues-rock. And they possess the kind of instinctive flair for harmonizing that only musicians sprung from the same DNA are fully able to pull off.”

Born into a musical family, the Garza brothers first picked up instruments as toddlers. As teenagers they often backed their father, who, with his five brothers and sisters, had a popular conjunto band called the Falcones in the ‘70s and ‘80s.

When old enough to venture out on their own, the Garza brothers tried their hand in Nashville, to little fortune. However, Willie Nelson happened to hear the band’s sound and invited Los Lonely Boys to record its first album in his Austin studio. The self-titled debut, which contained the Grammy Award-winning “Heaven,” was released in 2003.

Los Lonely Boys’ most recent release is Revelation, the first recording since Henry Garza sustained serious injuries in a fall from the stage during a February 2013 performance in Los Angeles, necessitating a lengthy and ongoing recovery period. The abiding sense of family unity and creative rapport that allowed the band to weather such a potentially devastating event has been built into Los Lonely Boys from its inception and is captured on Revelation.
