Phosphorescent plays The Abbey Theatre Monday May 2nd

 

The Abbey Theatre is please to announce that Phosphorescent will be coming to The Abbey Theatre Monday May 2nd, 2011.  Phosphorescent was one of the most loved and acclaimed bands of 2010, earning them recognition from Rollingstone (“The Band Of The Week”), Pitchfork (Ranked their album an 8.2), Paste Magazine (#8 Album of 2010), Mojo (#8 Album Of 2010), NPR’s World Cafe (David Dye’s Best Sessions of 2010), Consequence Of Sound (4 1/2 Stars Out of 5), Jambase & they even made their National television debut on Letterman.  In 2011 Phosphorescent will be touring heavy in April & May where they will make stops at Coachella Music & Arts Festival, Bonnaroo, Stage Coach, the prestigious Barcelona Primavera Sound Festival, as well as a Monday evening stop at The Abbey Theatre in little Durango Colorado to showcase their country tinged indie rock.  Tickets for this event are $15 and can be purchased online at www.abbeytheatre.com or at Southwest Sound on 9th & Main, Durango.

This is one of the best up and coming bands in Rock & Roll, a band that has longevity, purpose and poise.  Phosphorescent is a live band not to be missed – I hope we can not only get the town of Durango to come witness first class music in an intimate setting, but I hope each and everyone of you can make it down to The Abbey and witness the magic that is Phosphorescent.
