Community Concert Hall presents Get The Led Out on Sept. 28

“The American Led Zeppelin” recreates original Led Zeppelin sound

Durango, CO – Fans of Led Zeppelin can relive the music of The Mighty Zep as the Community Concert Hall at Fort Lewis College presents Get The Led Out, the American Led Zeppelin, Wednesday, Sept. 28, 7:30 p.m. The dance floor will be open.

From the bombastic and epic, to the folky and mystical, Get The Led Out (GTLO) is said to capture the essence of the recorded music of Led Zeppelin and bring it to the concert stage. The Philadelphia-based group consists of six accomplished musicians devoted to accurately and completely delivering Led Zeppelin’s studio recordings.

GTLO was initially formed in 2003 by lead singer Paul Sinclair and long-time friend/guitarist Paul Hammond. The band is rounded out by Jimmy Marchiano, (guitar/vocals), Adam Ferraioli (drums/percussion), Phil D’Agostino (bass) and Andrew Lipke (keyboards/guitar/vocals).

Dubbed by the media as “The American Led Zeppelin,” Get The Led Out offers a strong focus on the early years, and touches on the deeper cuts that were seldom, if ever, heard in concert. GTLO also includes a special “acoustic set” with Zep favorites such as “Tangerine” and the “Battle of Evermore” (being performed in its original instrumentation with guest singer Diana DeSantis joining the band).

Get The Led Out’s approach to performance of the hallowed catalog is not unlike classical performance, according to lead singer Sinclair.

“Led Zeppelin are sort of the classical composers of the rock era,” said Sinclair in a news release. “I believe 100 years from now they will be looked at as the Bach or Beethoven of our time. As cliché as it sounds, their music is timeless.”

As noted by the River Edge Park in Aurora, Ill., “Put it this way: rock journalists say Get The Led Out ‘didn’t just pass Zeppelin 101 with flying colors – they’re working on their Ph.D. They didn’t just do their Zep homework – they’re teaching the class.’”
