Southwest Arts Programs announces new Partner Arts Organization
Pagosa Springs Center for the Arts joins Southwest Arts Programs
Durango, CO – Southwest Arts Programs has expanded its regional reach, adding the Pagosa Springs Center for the Arts (PSCA) for the summer 2012 season. Professional playbills will be produced for the PSCA performances of Chicago, (June 15 – Aug. 12) and You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown, (June 22 – Aug. 22). The Pagosa Springs Center for the Arts is located at 2313 Eagle Dr., Pagosa Springs, Colo.
The PSCA joins a growing roster of Southwest Arts Programs’ Partner Arts Organizations, which for summer 2012 includes:
• Henry Strater Theatre Melodrama & Vaudeville (Durango, Colo.)
• Sandstone Productions’ Fiddler on the Roof (Farmington, N.M.)
• Durango Arts Center’s Beehive (Durango, Colo.)
In addition to the aforementioned organizations, Southwest Arts Programs provides playbills throughout the year to the Community Concert Hall at Fort Lewis College, the Durango Choral Society and 3rd Avenue Arts in Durango, Colo., as well as the San Juan Symphony in Durango and Farmington, N.M., and the Farmington Civic Center Foundation for the Performing Arts and San Juan College in Farmington.
Playbills are provided at no cost to partner organizations and serve to promote and support the arts throughout the Four Corners region. Southwest Arts Programs began publishing programs for the Community Concert Hall at Fort Lewis College and the San Juan Symphony in 2009. In 2011, the Southwest Arts Programs were read by an estimated 80,000-plus arts patrons at more than 200 performances.
