Summer Sounds Plays The Blues at Three Springs Kirk James to Give Free Performance in Three Springs Plaza Wednesday August 13
Durango, CO – Three Springs ushers in the summer blues by welcoming Kirk James to the Three Springs Plaza stage for a free, open air performance on Wednesday, August 13, from 5:00-7:00pm. New this year, Summer Sounds In The Plaza is a welcome addition to the Three Springs event schedule, which includes the popular Free Outdoor Movie Nights, originated by Three Springs in 2009. Kirk James has been performing for 20 years and is grounded in the Texas Blues tradition, playing both original materials and classics from the blues masters. Known for his strong blues guitar style and distinctive vocals, James has opened for Clarence ‘Gatemouth’ Brown, John Hammond, Richie Havens, Johnny ‘Clyde’ Copeland and Francine Reed. While James has received international recognition throughout Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, England, and Germany among other countries, he currently resides in Durango, Colorado and enjoys performing at festivals, concerts and small venues.
