Take a walk in the park by the river… in one of Durango Colorado’s many parks! Or if you prefer take your bike or your boat and enjoy the float!!
Durango’s 800 acres of beautiful clean safe parks by the Animas River are open. Time for a walk or take your bike, kayak, tube or raft… the river is calling. The river trail goes through the parks and allows you to hike and bike and enjoy the gorgeous scenery and with abundant wild life.
One of my favorite parks is Rotary Park right off Main Avenue where the bridge crosses the River and right behind the VFW Post 4031. I had guests visiting from California, and we went to Rotary Park for fresh air and river walking. Park was busy with lady belly dancers, folks doing tai chi, walkers, bikers, hikers with and without dogs. The river had rafters, tubers, boaters, and floaters… all looked like they were being refreshed and having fun.
We crossed the bridge and headed down to the river…
a refreshing site to behold!
Some of us just could not resist getting our toes wet…
Be refreshed hike, bike, walk, run, belly dance, and enjoy your Durango Parks.
