The Community Concert Hall at For Lewis College adds Dixie Reed to Ticket Office staff

Durango, CO – To extend the hours of and provide services to the increased number of visitors at the Community Concert Hall Ticket Office, the Community Concert Hall at Fort Lewis College has selected Dixie Reed as a new ticket sales associate. She will help staff the ticket desk at the Durango Welcome Center, 802 Main Ave., offering visitors additional options for activities during their stay in Durango.

A native of Charleston, S.C., Reed graduated from the University of South Carolina with a bachelor’s degree in film studies. She went on to work as a production assistant on numerous film and television projects.

“During this new chapter in my life, I look forward to fostering my love of the arts through this position with the Concert Hall,” said Reed, who relocated to Durango five years ago.

“We are really fortunate to have Dixie join the team,” said Charles Leslie, Community Concert Hall director. “With the move of the Ticket Office to the Durango Welcome Center, our opportunities for ticket sales have expanded, and we needed to staff appropriately. Dixie, with her background in the arts, is the perfect fit.”
The Community Concert Hall Ticket Office is located inside the Welcome Center at 8th St. and Main Ave. in Downtown Durango. Hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays. For further information, call 970.247.7657 or visit www.durangoconcerts.com.

The Community Concert Hall is a not-for-profit, multi-use performance venue located on the campus of Fort Lewis College. Its ability to bring a diverse spectrum of shows to Southwest Colorado is made possible through a partnership with the college, a state-supported, independent institution of higher education, and through financial and in-kind contributions from generous members of the community.
