The Shaolin Warriors

The Community Concert Hall at Fort Lewis College to stage Kung Fu masters
The Shaolin Warriors on Oct. 23
Durango, CO – Enter the world of ancient warriors who, over more than 1,000 years, have perfected the art of hand-to-hand and weapons combat, as the Shaolin Warriors: Voices of the Masters comes to the Community Concert Hall at Fort Lewis College Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012, 7:30 p.m.
In a fully choreographed theatrical production, the Shaolin Warriors bring the remarkable skill, stunning movement and spectacular imagery of Kung Fu to the stage. Known throughout the world for disciplined spiritualism and martial arts prowess, the troupe is said to combine the agility and grace of gymnasts with the showmanship of Cirque du Soleil performers.
Through Shaolin Warriors: Voices of the Masters, audiences view the results of hours of daily training. The contemporary performers are disciples of the Shaolin schools and have trained from a very early age in mental and physical disciplines, which allow them to perform feats thought possible only through movie special effects. In a display of faith, discipline, respect and strength that is without peer, the stunning movement and deadly martial arts prowess reveal men of action ready to defend, and men of peace ready to console.
The production showcases the diverse forms of Shaolin Kung Fu and provides a look into the daily life of these masters. It is a show that is said to entertain and leave all ages awestruck. As the Orange County Register wrote, “…so good at what they do, it almost looks like animation.”
