DURANGO, Colo. – Fleetwood Mac’s timeless album Rumours will be recreated at the Community Concert Hall at Fort Lewis College when the premier performing arts group Classic Albums Live takes the stage Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2011, 7 p.m.

Classic Albums Live selects classic albums and recreates them live on stage – note for note, cut for cut. Founded in 2003 by Craig Martin, Classic Albums Live has become the ultimate destination for music lovers yearning to hear the greatest albums performed live without gimmickry or impersonations. Relying only on the music, using what Martin refers to as “the world’s best musicians,” Classic Albums Live has defined itself as a mainstay in performing arts venues across North America.

Wrote Broadway World, “Classic Albums Live has become the ultimate destination for music lovers wanting to hear the greatest albums performed live.” The organization has garnered a stellar reputation for the note-perfect recitals of classic albums, performing 100-plus shows each year across North America. Performances have included The Beatles’ Abbey Road, Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon and Led Zeppelin – II.

For Durango, Classic Albums Live brings its most recent production, Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours to the stage. One of the most celebrated and best-selling classic rock albums ever produced, the album will be faithfully re-created note-for-note, acknowledging every detail of the original recording. Legendary songs such as “Go Your Own Way,” “Don’t Stop,” “Gold Dust Woman,” and “Dreams” will be performed, followed by performances of additional hits from Fleetwood Mac’s extensive song catalog.

Rumours was Fleetwood Mac’s eleventh and best-selling album, with in excess of 40 million copies distributed worldwide. It hit #1 and stayed at the top of numerous music charts for weeks, and included four individual hit singles. In 2003, Rumours was named as the 25th greatest album of all time by the editors of Rolling Stone magazine.

A Grammy Award winner, Rumours’ tracks were recorded using a combination of acoustic and electric instruments. Widespread praise centered on its production quality and harmonies, which frequently relied on the interplay among three vocalists.
