Veterans Day Durango

Veterans Day is a Special Day set aside to honor all our veterans for their service to this nation. The Day starts with a Veterans Day Parade which starts at 11:00 on Main Street. If you wish to join the Parade please contact us. The Parade is followed by an Air Force Fly Over. Following the Fly By there will be an Open House at VFW Post 4031 at 12:30. Food will be provided. Take the opportunity to express your appreciation to the Veterans of the United States.

One of the most important days on the VFW Post 4031 calendar is the annual Veterans Day celebration as well

as other veteran oriented days in November.  Join us in celebrating a remembrance of those who have served

our nation during both good and also adverse times.

  Veterans Day Parade

 Post 4031 sponsors the Durango Veteran’s Parade every November 11th at 11:00am. The Point of Contact is

Veterans Day Open House

Following the Veterans Day Parade, VFW Post 4031 holds an Open House featuring fun and a chance to meet

veterans and learn what the VFW is all about. Lunch is served.

November is Veterans Month

Here is a list of Veterans Month 2024 Events that are known at this time:

1. October 31st: Patriots Pen and Voice of Democracy scholarship entries due at Post 4031.
2. November 3rd: Veterans Benefit Breakfast, 9AM until 11AM.
3. November 11th, 0800 Flag Placement Downtown.
4. November 11th, 1100 Veterans Day Parade, meet at Train Station.
5. November 11th: 1200 Flyby.
6. November 11th, 1200 -1500, VFW Post 4031 Open House.
7. November 11th, 1800, Pick up Flags Downtown.
8. November 17th, Veterans Benefit Breakfast, 9AM – 11AM.
