Yesterday – A Tribute to The Beatles – comes to Durango, Feb. 12
Community Concert Hall to stage authentic Beatles tribute band
Durango, CO – Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of The Beatles’ first arrival in New York City in 1964, Yesterday – A Tribute to The Beatles – will take the stage at the Community Concert Hall at Fort Lewis College, Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014, 7 p.m.
Offering a live and spirited journey of the revolutionary sounds that introduced the first wave of British rock music to the American audience, Yesterday performs The Beatles original hits and covers the Fab Four loved to perform with spot on accuracy. Complete with vintage video, and authentic accents, costumes and instruments, Yesterday takes its audience on a rousing tour from Liverpool’s Cavern Club, the Ed Sullivan show, the historic Hollywood Bowl and Shea Stadium performances, into the Sgt. Pepper era with “Walrus,” “Come Together,” “Revolution” and beyond.
Founded by John Lennon impersonator Don Bellezzo, Yesterday tours internationally, performing on five continents, including numerous U.S. military bases. The group is the resident Beatles Show Band for the Las Vegas-based “Legends in Concert,” the world’s premier and longest running tribute show, and for three years presented its own critically acclaimed production, “The British Are Coming!” to standing room only audiences at The Tropicana Hotel and Casino’s Liverpool Club Theatre in Atlantic City, N.J. The group is also featured on the video at McCarran International Airport with other celebrities welcoming all to the “Entertainment Capitol of the World… Las Vegas.”
Yesterday performed at the Smithsonian Institute, Washington D.C., invited by the U.S. Postal Service to entertain at the unveiling of the “Yellow Submarine” postage stamp.
