Cobalt Automation Inc. Named National Finalist

 

Durango, CO – Cobalt Automation Inc., a Durango-based electronic systems contractor, is pleased to announce it was named one of two National Finalists of the 2009 Innovative Housing Technology Awards (IHTA) presented by TecHome Builder magazine.  The IHTA award was in recognition of a home built by LeGrand Construction with integrated electronics systems provided and installed by Cobalt Automation.  This award is one of the most prestigious housing technology awards for the home building industry.  Last year Cobalt won the Integrator Excellence Award for the Mountain Western Region and this year was selected as one of two National Finalists of the Innovative Housing Technology Awards.  The announcement of the awards and a photograph of the home were published in the July 2009 issue of Electronic House and CE Pro national magazines, and on the TecHome Builder website.

 

The partnership between Cobalt Automation and LeGrand Construction provided the homeowners with an environmentally friendly home with easy to use advanced technology and lifestyle options.  Some of the home’s amenities are central lighting control that includes preset scenes, automatic solar shades and controls that assist the owner in keeping the house secure and energy consumption to a minimum when they are away. 

Also included are an integrated surround sound system and an integrated whole-house audio distribution system

The Innovative Housing Technology Award (IHTA) is intended to both stimulate the development of innovative new products, materials and systems for residential construction, as well as recognize significant advances and best practices by integrators in home technologies and IT solutions for the housing industry.  IHTA winners are acknowledged for improving the livability of homes and making the process of building and improving homes more efficient and cost effective.  TecHome Builder magazine is the only publication that covers technology products and news in new construction and remodels.
