Construction industry veteran Steven D. Summy named CEO for WESODI
DURANGO, Colo. – The WESODI (Western Energy Services of Durango Inc.) board of directors has named Steven D. Summy as the utility construction company’s new Chief Executive Officer. He will assume his position on Monday, Dec. 5, 2011.
An industry veteran, Summy has 34 years of construction management-related experience on heavy civil projects, including dams and reservoirs, water and hydroelectric projects, pumping plants, canals, tunnels, recreation facilities and California public works projects.
Most recently, Summy served as site construction manager for the Rainbow Redevelopment Project, a hydroelectric power project located on the Missouri River near Great Falls, Mont. No stranger to Durango, Summy was the general project manager for the now complete Animas-La Plata Project, contracted by the US Bureau of Reclamation.
WESODI and its subsidiary, BWR Constructors, Inc. specialize in development and construction of complete power systems, telecommunication systems, civil construction projects, and oil and gas field support.

A graduate of Drake University, Summy and his family are based in Ignacio, Colo.
