Durango Business Improvement District relocates to new office

BID now located in the heart of Downtown at 850 ½ Main Ave., Suite 2

Durango, CO – The Durango Business Improvement District (BID) has relocated its office to the heart of Downtown Durango, 850 ½ Main Ave., Suite 2 (upstairs above Beads & Beyond). This is the BID’s first stand-alone office since its inception in 1997.

“We are very excited to move into our own office,” said Tim Walsworth, BID executive director. “It’s nothing fancy, because we don’t want to spend our constituents’ money on overhead, but it’s very functional and will further our effort to work with our constituents and help sustain the economic viability of the Business Improvement District.”
The BID office was formerly in the Bank of Colorado building (1199 Main), co-located with the City’s Downtown Business Development Manager Bob Kunkel. Kunkel has relocated to City offices within the Carnegie Building (old library) on E. 2nd Ave.

The new BID office will be generally staffed Mon.-Fri., 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., though activities in support of the District may take Walsworth and Community Relations Coordinator Pam Glasco out of the office from time to time. The BID Board of Directors meets monthly – now at the new location – on the third Wednesday of each month, 3 to 5 p.m.

Further information about the BID is available at www.downtowndurango.org. Contact Walsworth directly at 970.375.5068 or [email protected]. For general inquiries, call 970.375.5067.
