Expert Energy Program Loan Officers Stephen Ponce-Pore and Valerie Copenhaver offer free sessions throughout Southwest Colorado

The Four Corners Office for Resource Efficiency (4CORE) is teaming up with The New Community Coalition (TNCC) and Uncompahgre Valley Regional ENERGY STAR® for New Homes to bring two speakers to Southwest Colorado. Speakers will discuss an approach to rejuvenating the housing market and a way to take a full percentage point off a 30 year mortgage.

“We are excited to be taking the Energy Saving Mortgage program state-wide and hope that other banks will participate with us in all aspects of green lending,” said Stephen Ponce-Pore, Energy Programs Manager and Loan Officer for the Bank of Colorado, and one of the presenters.

Valerie Copenhaver, from Wells Fargo Bank, also presenting, adds, “We are hoping to demonstrate the value these mortgages can bring to someone using energy efficient or renewable techniques in either a renovation or new home construction.”
