Fort Lewis College hosting Future Leaders of Colorado summer program

Durango, CO – Fort Lewis College and the Boys and Girls Club of La Plata County are partnering to offer a three day summer program for local high school youth. Sponsored by funding from the US Department of Education, the Future Leaders of Colorado @ Fort Lewis College summer program is designed to encourage confidence and reduce barriers for area youth in attending college. It will take place July 25-27, 2012.

Students will participate in a variety of activities that will increase their knowledge of college culture and show that higher education is valuable for personal enrichment as well as preparation for a career and responsible citizenship. This program will serve 16 rising freshmen and sophomores who are members of the Boys and Girls Club of La Plata County.
