Four Corners Office for Resource Efficiency announces new hires

Non-profit organization names program manager and staff assistant.
DURANGO, Colo. – To meet the growing demands of a resource-conscious community, the Four Corners Office for Resource Efficiency (4CORE) has added to its staff, naming Teresa Steely as Program Manager and Cori Andreatta as Staff Assistant, according to Aileen Tracy, the non-profit organization’s executive director.
“We have so much going on – working on the Climate and Energy Action Plan, processing renewable rebates, advancing energy efficiency programs and exploring options for stimulus money for renewable energy jobs, plus much more – the time had come to expand the staff,” said Tracy. “I’m delighted to add these two energetic and bright women to the team.”
Most recently marketing and sales manager for Syndicom, Inc., Teresa Steely has a strong background in resource conservation and non-profit coordination. She studied environmental populations biology at the University of Colorado, Boulder, and earned her BS in environmental science at Western Washington University, Bellingham. Her experience includes executive director of the North Fork River Improvement Association and metadata specialist/ECOHAB coordinator for the Florida Marine Research Institute.
A volunteer/events coordinator the La Plata County Humane Society where she trained and organized in excess of 700 volunteers, Steely is also an experienced grant writer who has written and administered 52 successful grants totaling more than $715,000.
“Teresa’s extensive experience managing projects and programs for non-profits, and her alignment with 4CORE’s mission to promote resource conservation, makes her a great asset to 4CORE,” said Tracy.
Cori Andreatta studied early childhood education at Irvine Valley College, Irvine, California, before moving to Durango to complete her BA in computer information systems at Fort Lewis College. Most recently responsible for obtaining and maintaining organic and kosher certifications for San Juan Bioenergy in Dove Creek, she has also served as a landscaping assistant for Garden of Delight and assistant manager for Eco Home Center. Her volunteer affiliations include work with the Colorado Straw Bale Association.
“Cori’s strong organizational skills and web development background, coupled with her commitment to resource conservation, make her ideal as the staff assistant for 4CORE,” said Tracy.
Formally established in 2008 following two years of planning and discussion by a diverse cross-section of the community, the Four Corners Office for Resource Efficiency is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation and was recently was named an Enterprise Zone. In addition to the federal tax deduction, donors who contribute $100 or more in cash or services may receive a Colorado state tax credit of 25 percent for cash or 12.5 percent for in-kind donations (as of March 12, 2009).
