According to Knight Kiplinger we’ve got easier financing coming on condominiums. Most condo buyers cannot obtain FHA financing because the FHA cannot extend a loan to a buyer for a unit in a condo complex unless at least half of the units are owner occupied. Kiplinger says Congress seems inclined to lower that threshold, making more buildings eligible. This would be a boon for first time buyers and condo sellers.
