La Plata County Commissioners Seek Applicants For Southwestern Basin Roundtable

Durango, CO – The La Plata County Board of County Commissioners is seeking an interested individual to serve as its appointed representative on the Southwestern Basin Roundtable. There are nine Basin Roundtables in Colorado, each of which facilitates local discussion on water issues and encourages locally-driven, collaborative solutions on interstate water issues, and also collaborates with other Roundtables to find solutions to inter-basin and interstate water issues.

The length of term is five years, and meetings are held quarterly, alternating between Durango and Cortez. Related education and/or experience with local and state water concerns are preferred.
